The South African Pebble Bed Modular Reactor (PBMR) and its fuel

The lecture will be held by professor Johan B. Malherbe, University of Pretoria, South Africa, at 13:00 on 28th of May , room D244 (2nd floor of D building on Department of Power systems, FER Zagreb).

PBMR design of the nuclear reactor provides a modular solution of low installed power and additional reliability.

Croatian Nuclear Society and Croatian department of IEEE for power systems organised a discussion on the topic "View at nuclear energy in Europe until 2030".

The discussion was held on 22nd of April 2009 in Gray Hall on Faculty of electrical engineering and computing (FER)

A public forum was held on the 2nd of April 2009. at Kaptol 27, in colaboration with Croatian Nuclear society.

The topic was "The renaissance of nuclear energy".

The speakers on the forum were Paolo Gaio, Jože Špiler and Ivica Bašić.

Croatian Nuclear Society (HND) in co-operation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Croatian State Office for Radiological and Nuclear Safety (DZRNS), sponsored by European Nuclear Society (ENS), organises the ninth edition of traditional biennial international conference on Nuclear Option in Countries with Small and Medium Electricity Grids. The conference will take place in Zadar, Croatia, within 3-6 June 2012. The additional information about conference is available at the conference website.
